Quidditas [videorecording] / Frank Gillette. [1975]

Taking its title from the Latin word for the essence of a thing, Quidditas is a three-channel study of the varied landscapes of Cape Cod. Using video to convey a sense of place, Gillette evokes the the rhythms and textures of the land through slow, almost imperceptible dissolves from one landscape to the next.
